Scholarships

The Mukusu Scholarship Program provides full scholarships:

  • school fees

  • boarding fees

  • school uniforms

  • food allowances

  • learning materials

  • exam fees

And goes beyond tuition fees to include:

  • proper nutrition

  • clothing, shelter

  • transportation

  • medical / health care

  • school activities

to all qualifying students in need.

Kenya's new Competency Based Curriculum (CBC) focuses on four key skills, called the four C's: communication, critical thinking, citizenship, and creativity. These skills were chosen to help students thrive in a changing, digital world.

This curriculum nurtures the student’s talents without limits. Children are allowed to find their interests among the wide range of opportunities and activities provided by the syllabus.

Every student must go through a minimum of 17 levels, with each class lasting one year.
The levels are divided into 4 groups.

  • Early Year Education (Pre-Primary & Lower Primary)

  • Middle School (Upper Primary & Lower Secondary)

  • Senior School (Upper Secondary)

  • Tertiary Education (TVET or University)

KCPE examination

Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE)

The KCPE examination is designed mainly as a primary school leaving examination.
The examination is conducted once every year in October/November.
It is an entry examination that enables candidates to progress to Secondary education or training in tertiary institutions.

At the end of primary education every Grade 8 Kenya pupil must sit for the KCPE.
