Mukusu Scholarship Program best practices:

• All of the Mukusu Scholarship high school students attend public school.
  And, the junior high school students attend private schools.

• All (but 1) of the Scholarship students attend boarding school.
  The scholarship covers fees for transportation, a mattress, meals, and personal items. The food provided in the schools is very basic and children are suggested to carry some pocket money to add to their meals.

• Our Scholarship Program also covers the cost of academic field trips.

• Because of some of the challenges they may face at home…some of the scholarship students stay with the Kenyan Team (Paul, boys - Mercy, girls) during school breaks.

• If a student requires medical attention, the Mukusu Scholarship Program will help with the health care costs.

• To help prevent Malaria, the scholarship students and their families received bed nets.
